By accessing or using Mid-Michigan Trades ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.
The Platform connects homeowners seeking home services with independent tradespeople. Mid-Michigan Trades is a marketplace only — we do not employ tradespeople, perform work, or guarantee the quality of services rendered by any listed contractor.
We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
Mid-Michigan Trades provides a directory service only. We do not verify, endorse, or warrant the work quality, licensing status, insurance coverage, or business practices of any contractor listed on the Platform beyond the information they have self-reported.
All contractor listings are provided "as is." We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing information.
Homeowners are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before hiring any contractor, including verifying insurance, licensing, and references independently.
By creating a listing on the Platform, contractors agree to: (1) provide accurate and truthful information about their business, services, credentials, and insurance coverage; (2) respond to homeowner inquiries in a timely and professional manner; (3) honor quotes and estimates provided through the Platform; (4) maintain any stated insurance and licensing throughout their subscription period.
Contractors who provide false information, receive substantiated complaints, or violate these terms may have their listings suspended or permanently removed without refund.
Contractors are independent businesses. Nothing in this agreement creates an employment, partnership, or franchise relationship between the contractor and Mid-Michigan Trades.
Homeowners may use the Platform to search for, contact, and review contractors at no cost. By creating an account, homeowners agree to: (1) provide accurate contact information; (2) submit reviews only for contractors they have genuinely hired and worked with; (3) not submit false, misleading, or defamatory reviews.
Mid-Michigan Trades reserves the right to remove any review that violates these terms or that we determine in our sole discretion to be false, abusive, or in bad faith.
Contractor subscriptions are billed annually in advance. All payments are processed securely via Stripe. Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.
Founding member promotional pricing (where applicable) applies to the initial subscription period only. Subsequent renewals are billed at the standard rate for the selected plan tier at the time of renewal.
Mid-Michigan Trades reserves the right to modify subscription pricing with 30 days written notice to existing subscribers.
The Mid-Michigan Trades platform, including its design, code, content, and branding, is the intellectual property of Ochre & Pine Studio. All rights reserved.
Contractors retain ownership of content they upload (photos, descriptions, business information) and grant Mid-Michigan Trades a non-exclusive license to display that content on the Platform for the duration of their subscription.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan. Any disputes arising from use of the Platform shall be resolved in the courts of Midland County, Michigan, or through binding arbitration at our election.
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full effect.

Mid-Michigan Trades ("we," "us," or "our") is a service of Ochre & Pine Studio LLC, based in Midland, Michigan. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. We don't sell your personal information — ever.
From homeowners: When you send a message to a tradesperson through our platform, we collect your name, email address, phone number (if provided), and the content of your message. We do not require account creation for homeowners to use the platform.
From tradespeople: When you create a listing, we collect your name, business name, email, phone number, business address, service area, license number, and any photos or business content you upload. We also collect billing information through our payment processor, Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers.
Automatically: We collect standard web analytics data including pages visited, referral source, browser type, and general geographic region. This data is aggregated and not linked to individual identities.
We do not use your information for targeted advertising. We do not build behavioral profiles. We do not sell or rent your data to any third party.
When you send a message to a tradesperson, your name, email, phone number, and message are shared with that tradesperson only. This is the core function of our service.
We use the following service providers who may process your data on our behalf: Stripe (payment processing), Postmark (email delivery), and Cloudflare (security and CDN). Each of these providers is contractually required to protect your data.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of our users or the public.
Tradesperson account data is retained while your account is active and for 12 months after cancellation. Contact messages are retained for 24 months. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at hello@midmichigantrades.com.
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time. Tradespeople can update most information directly from their dashboard. For other requests, email hello@midmichigantrades.com and we will respond within 5 business days.
Michigan residents have additional rights under applicable state law. We honor opt-out requests for any non-essential communications.
We use only essential cookies necessary for the platform to function (session authentication, security tokens). We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies that identify individual users.
